Agnes Morey was a suffragist and leading member of the National Woman’s Party from Massachusetts. In 1919, she protested in Boston when Woodrow Wilson came to visit her hometown. After the ratification of the 19th Amendment, Morey participated in a “prison special” campaign where she toured different parts of the United States wearing the clothes she wore in prison. In 1923, Morey presided over the introduction of the Equal Rights Amendment presented in Seneca Falls.
